Define geometry, identify points, lines, and angles, and name triangles, squares, and rectangles.Geometry is the study of shapes and space. Its building blocks are points, lines, and angles, including the 90-degree right angle. Triangles have three sides, while squares and rectangles are four-sided shapes with right-angle corners.
Describe circles, tell 2D from 3D shapes, measure perimeter and area, and recognize symmetry.Circles are round shapes measured by radius and diameter. Flat 2D shapes have solid 3D versions like cubes and spheres. Perimeter is the distance around a shape and area is the space inside, and symmetry means both halves of a shape match.
