Terms of Service
The service
Wunder is a learning platform: courses, books, games and an AI study companion. Reading the catalog and library is free; some features (narrated listening, Teach mode, course creation, and the Orbit tutor) require a paid plan. The service is provided "as is" without warranties, and features may change or evolve over time.
Your account
- You need an account to save progress. Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- One person per account (household learner profiles under your account are fine — that's what they're for).
- You can delete your account any time from the Account page; that removes your data (see Privacy below).
Kids
Children use Wunder only through learner profiles that a parent or guardian creates and manages inside their own account. Parents control which features each child profile can access. Children are never asked for their own email, password, or other contact details.
Content
- Course material is generated with AI from vetted sources and reviewed by automated checks. It can still contain mistakes — Wunder is for learning, not professional (medical, legal, financial) advice.
- Library books are public-domain texts, presented complete and unmodified.
- Courses you create stay yours. Publishing one publicly grants Wunder Learning LLC a license to host and display it to other users; you can unpublish or delete it any time.
- Don't use Wunder to create content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes others' rights, and don't abuse, probe, or disrupt the service.
Billing & refunds
- Paid plans are subscriptions, billed in advance each month or year (your choice) in US dollars through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown before you buy.
- Cancel any time from Account → billing (or by emailing us). Your plan stays active through the end of the period you've already paid for, then simply doesn't renew — we don't charge you again.
- Because access is delivered immediately, payments are generally non-refundable and we don't prorate partial periods. That said, we're reasonable: if you were charged by mistake, never used the paid features, or aren't happy, email hello@wunderlearning.com within 14 days of the charge and we'll sort out a fair refund.
- If we change a plan's price, the new price applies only to renewals after we've told you — never retroactively to a period you've already paid for.
- We may suspend or end paid access for accounts that violate these terms; where we do, we'll refund any unused prepaid time.
The fine print
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms as the product evolves — material changes will be noted on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, USA. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wunder Learning LLC's total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a password (stored only as a salted hash — we cannot read it).
- Profiles: a display name and age band per learner profile in your household. Kid profiles are a nickname + age band only.
- Learning data: course progress, quiz answers and learning signals, notes, and saved items — used to personalize what each profile sees and how it's taught.
- Usage analytics: aggregate, first-party only. Each learner appears as an anonymous, non-reversible ID; no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts.
- Feedback you send us through the in-app button.
- Billing (paid plans only): your plan, subscription status, and renewal date. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by Wunder.
What we never do
- No ads, and no ad tracking — ever, anywhere on Wunder.
- We never sell your data or share it for marketing.
- We never ask children for personal information.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and content delivery (with encrypted nightly backups).
- xAI — generates course text, images and narration. Prompts sent for generation are course subjects and learning context, not your identity.
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans. Stripe receives your card details and email to bill you; we receive only your subscription status. See Stripe's own privacy policy for how it handles payment data.
That's the whole list. No other third parties receive user data.
Security & retention
All traffic is HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, sessions can be revoked, and accounts are rate-limit and bot protected. Deleting a profile or your account removes its data from our systems; backups age out on a rolling window afterwards.
Your choices
Change or delete profiles and your account from the Account page, or email hello@wunderlearning.com for any privacy request or question.
