It is invisible, but we see what it does everywhere. Even our own bodies run on energy from the food we eat.
  2. Meet the Kinds of EnergyName the main kinds of energy — kinetic, heat, light, sound, electrical, and chemical — and give an example of each.There are many kinds of energy. Kinetic energy is movement, heat energy warms things, light lets us see, sound is what we hear, electrical energy flows through wires, and chemical energy is stored in batteries and food. Each kind helps our world work.

Stored and Moving EnergyTell the difference between stored and moving energy and understand that energy changes form without being lost.Stored energy is saved up, ready to be used, like in a stretched rubber band or a battery. Moving energy is energy in action. Energy can change from one kind into another — for example, a battery's stored energy becomes light in a torch — but it is never truly lost.
