1. Flat ShapesName flat 2D shapes: circle, square, and triangle.Flat shapes you can draw on paper are called 2D shapes. A circle is round with no corners, a square has 4 equal sides and 4 corners, and a triangle has 3 sides and 3 corners. They show up in clocks, windows, and pizza slices.

A sphere is a round ball, a cube is a box with 6 square faces, a cylinder is a can shape, and a cone is round at the bottom and pointy on top. Balls, dice, cans, and ice cream cones are everyday examples.
4. Flat vs SolidTell the difference between flat 2D shapes and solid 3D shapes.Flat shapes are 2D — you can draw them, like circles, squares, and triangles.
