Forecast rates use the idealized ZHR, so real counts are typically lower.

Fireballs and Falling RocksUnderstand fireballs, the Chelyabinsk event, how meteorites are classified as falls or finds, and where they are found and valued.Fireballs are exceptionally bright meteors from larger objects; the Chelyabinsk airburst injured about 1,500 people and was heavily documented. Meteorites are classed as witnessed falls or later-discovered finds, with Antarctica's ice acting as a natural collector. Meteorites carry real monetary value, with lunar and Martian pieces the most precious.
