• Changed "Mission-house" to "Mission-House" in topics list beginning Chapter 3 to match topics list for Chapter 3 in the Contents. • Page 18: footnote 3-3 does not end the last sentence with a period: "et sa bonté n'a point de limites" The period was also missing in Volume 7. We did not make an emendation because of Parkman's statement in the Preface. • Page 21: add period to end the sentence with the clause "sorcerer, in the tribe of the Montagnais" The period was added in Volume 7.
